I photograph flat artwork for artists and printmakers and I intend to tour with a super efficient mobile studio, later this year.
My Olympus and Manfrotto sponsorship means that I'm always using state-of-the-art cameras and lenses, and I've invested in colour calibration technology to ensure the photographs do the work justice. Ordinarily, the images I provide are suitable for web and catalogue use and for prints up to 30" x 20". I can provide larger files by prior arrangement.
Let me know if I can help you!
'The Old Pier, Union Hall'
In 2013 I photographed a wonderful collection of paintings for Paul and Aileen Finucane's book 'The Old Pier, Union Hall'. Paul and Aileen commissioned 25 artists to paint the view from their garden, and the variety of interpretations was very very interesting. The book was published by Red Barn Press, and is being sold to raise money for local charities. Here's a link.

I specialise in teaching craftworkers and artists how to photograph their work and I've run photography workshops for several arts organisations. I can tutor you, one-to-one, in how to get the best photographs using your existing camera, simple set-ups and improvised lighting. It costs €300 for a one-day session or two half days. Alternatively I can run a one-day workshop for your arts group or network. It costs €550 + travel costs, and may be eligible for funding.
