I shoot weddings from time to time, and I've had a lot of fun photographing unusual ones!
As always, I relish doing things well. If I photograph your wedding I want you to give you images you'll be really happy to have. I want to give you a collection of shots that take you straight back to (or show others) the best moments of your fantastic day.
Achieving this takes a little cooperation. Ideally we meet well ahead of the wedding day. I find out what you want and I can advise you on how to help me get the best images. On your wedding day I bring my eye for a good picture and make sure my work interferes minimally with the natural flow.
I prefer a contemporary 'reportage' style — capturing the rich thread of the days events, with less formal posing and more good candid shots of your family and friends and the lovely details you've worked so hard on. Of course I'm happy to do as many of the standard shots as you want. I can give you photographs on a flash drive or CD for you to store, print and distribute as you wish, and I can provide a printed album that can be as simple or as luxurious as you might want.
As I've said, I'm particularly happy to shoot unusual weddings — humanist, pagan, same-sex partnerships etc — and I'm very flexible about what I do for each couple and each wedding.
If I sound like the sort of photographer you'd like to work with, please get in touch early on to make sure I'm likely to be available on your chosen date.
'We absolutely love our photos, you do great work!

'Thanks for the flash drive and photobook recommendation. The flash drive was beautifully done, it was like getting a really fancy pass-the-parcel present!
I think we have all the photos now and we're so happy with them. Everyone we've showed them to has said they're the best wedding photos they've seen.'

'Thank you so much for the wonderful wedding album that you created for us. We sat down this evening with it and enjoyed our wedding day all over again, the moments captured so beautifully by you. It is a very special treasure that you have given us and which will stay with us for life. Thank you for all the hard work and time that you put into the album, telling our wedding story as it really was, capturing all the very special moments. We both want you to know that we think you are an amazingly talented and gifted photographer. The album says it all and we feel privileged to have had your presence and input. '
